Casa Ruigar, a 2,000-square-meter mixed-use building, was completed in 2012 after being entirely rebuilt from the ground up on two lots. One of the lots was vacant due to the demolition of the original structure years earlier. We also demolished the 1950s era building on the other lot that replaced the original historic structure, disregarding the neighborhood's colonial architecture and design characteristics. Instead, we reconstructed the original facades, drawing inspiration from the designs of the original buildings that once stood there.
The new construction comprises 10 condominiums, a parking garage, and ground-floor commercial space currently occupied by a restaurant. The condominium units boast imported Italian kitchens, handcrafted tile floors, reclaimed hardwoods from the bottom of Lake Gatun, and a rooftop pool with rooftop and street view terraces.
