Completed in 2010, Casa Malecon is a mixed used historic renovation project in the Malecón neighborhood of Casco Viejo, Panama City, a Unesco World Heritage site. The original structure, built in 1941, was gutted and and the building was transformed into 1,200m2 of six residential condominiums and a ground floor commercial space. The condominiums consist of four two bedroom, two bath units and two one bedroom, one bath units. Four of the units feature stunning bay and ocean views.
The architect preserved the original facade of the building and it's original features such as stained glassed windows and terraces. Handmade floor tiles were imported from Colombia, kitchens from Italy, and local recovered hardwoods from Lake Gatún were used for flooring and stairs.
