Carys is from Buckhannon, WV; she is a first-year student at Pierpont Community and Technical College in the Applied Design program for Fashion Merchandising. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is active in the applied design program. She enjoys clothing design and construction and is currently a seamstress and clothing designer. She specializes in pageant and formalwear projects. She is a self-taught seamstress and pattern maker; her biggest ambition is to bring to life the ideas that people have through clothing design. She hopes to broaden her skillset in design to one day own her own fashion label for evening wear.
Sean is from Paden City, WV; he is a Fall 2023 graduate of the Fashion Merchandising program at Pierpont Community and Technical college. He is continuing his education at Pierpont in the business program. He has used his skills in graphic design and clothing construction to design clothing, some of which have been used for media purposes. Sean is affiliated with some musicians and has traveled to assist in branding, design, and cover art. Sean is passionate about design and his aspirations are to make a name for himself through the world of fashion, media, and art.
Tessa is from Kingwood, WV; she is completing her first semester at Pierpont Community and Technical College for Fashion Merchandising. She is currently a licensed hairdresser. Tessa owns her own online clothing boutique called Tess Clothing Co, where she sells coastal and western apparel. She has expanded her business with a trailer to take to pop up events. Tess wants to continue in the fashion industry as a buyer.
Karleane Elmo is from Morgantown, WV; she has spent six years at Pierpont Community and Technical College studying graphic technology and interior design. Karlea enjoys fashion because it is an area where all can express themselves freely and creatively without judgment. In her free time, she enjoys doing many creating hobbies including reading, writing, and drawing. She enjoys both physical and digital art projects. She is skilled in many online software programs for design.
Dylan Grimm is from Sistersville, WV. He is a First-year student at Pierpont Community and Technical College for Fashion Merchandising. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Dylan enjoys applying freedom of expression to his designs and breaking fashion stereotypes. Dylan's aspirations include designing licensed merchandise for popular artists and creating an affordable clothing brand for the disadvantaged.
Athena Hardesty is from Fairmont, WV; she is a first-year student at Pierpont Community and Technical College for Fashion Merchandising and is a member of the National Honor Society. She has experience in retail and hopes to broaden her knowledge of fashion to one day work for a clothing brand or start her own label. Athena aspires to be involved in the fashion industry however she can be, whether that be through buying, modeling, styling, or designing, she is ambitious to be involved in the world of fashion. She has plans of moving south after she graduates to work her way into that demographic of fashion.
Leah Hart is a Spring 2024 graduate of the Applied Design program at Pierpont Community and Technical College. Leah is from Morgantown, WV; she works as a seamstress. In her free time, she enjoys fashion, sewing, and sustainability within the world of design. Leah is working in her own life to achieve a more sustainable personal style that can improve quality in our world.
Jaykub Long is from Paden City, WV. He is a first-year student at Pierpont Community and Technical College for Fashion Merchandising. Jaykub enjoys the streetwear and grunge side of fashion; he is big into thrifting and vintage clothing. His aspirations are to continue in the Fashion industry through modeling or being a stylist for a brand. His passion is to create aesthetics that go against the grain of fashion standards, to prove that originality can be found within fashion.
Gabryel Philips is from Grafton, WV. She is a first-year student at Pierpont Community and Technical College in the Applied Design Program. She has experience working in a dress shop doing alterations. She does seamstress work and enjoys making clothing and accessories for animals. Her biggest influences in fashion are Steve Summers, Zaldy Goco, and Sassi Holford.
