We’re Drew and Bea Piegols, the husband-and-wife team behind Salt & Light Acres. Our farm began in 2019 out of a deep passion for growing wholesome food and staying connected to the land. What started as a small endeavor selling fresh eggs, baked goods, and garden produce soon grew into a full farmstead business.

Today, we proudly offer farm-raised poultry products made the way food should be — with no hormones, no antibiotics, and no fillers. Our customers love the quality and taste!

Our mobile petting zoo was born from hosting private farm tours, where we saw firsthand how much joy people felt when interacting with our animals. We wanted to share that experience more widely by bringing the farm to families, schools, parties, and community events. Watching others connect with our animals and experience a little glimpse of our everyday farm life is something we truly cherish.

The Kid Team Behind Salt & Light Acres

We run our mobile petting zoo with our 2 children. We include our children as part of our petting zoo team because we believe animals help teach responsibility, compassion, and confidence in ways no classroom ever could. By working alongside us, they learn the everyday care that goes into raising animals and running a business. Our business is truly a family effort, and giving our children an active role allows them to grow not only in work skills, but also in character, empathy, and stewardship. They are proud of the animals they help care for, and guests enjoy seeing the authentic connection our kids share with them.
