Flexible
Relatively high heat tolerance
Many color options
May not withstand great stresses such as found in competitive gameplay
Best used in flexible components which will not be exposed to high stress. PETG is good for more casual use and should stand up to recreational play.

Strong
High heat tolerance
Significant higher relative cost
Not many color options
Longer print times
Best used in high stress or slip components. Nylon is good for competitive play where there will be more stress on the body such as diving.
color kits
High durability
Great surface finish
No heat concern
Not flexible
Translucent colors will yellow/dull over time with exposure to sunlight
Best used for non-flexible components which may take a hit but are supported against something. Resin adds great look and feel to the marker.
PLA
PLA is the most common material in 3D printing for it's low relatively melting temperature and ease of use. Primarily PLA is good for display pieces or rapid prototyping, but PLA is very brittle and does not have a high heat tolerance. It is prone to cracking due to stress and warping due to heat. For paintball, PLA would be best used for accessories like display stands but not for any products which will see field time.
