  • Consists of 16 two-person teams (male, female or mixed).

  • Open to Salmon Falls CC members and non-members.

  • Teams are divided into four divisions that house four teams each.

  • Each team plays each divisional opponent three times throughout the regular season.

  • The format of each match will be two versus two best ball, and it will be scored using USGA Match Play Rules and SFCC Local Rules.

  • This is an ALL NET league (85% of Handicap), and the number of strokes you receive in each match will be based on the lowest handicap in each foursome. See 85% Handicap Chart.

      • Each match is worth up to 9 points.

      • Each hole won will give a team 1 point.

      • Each hole that is halved will give a team 0.5 points.

      • Each hole lost will give a team 0 points.

  • League will alternate tees weekly.

      • Men play:

          • White tees for the front nine

          • Gold tees for the back nine

      • Ladies play:

          • Blue tees for the front nine

          • White tees for the back nine

      • Golfers that satisfy the 85-Rule (age & handicap equal 85 or higher) can choose to play from the forward tee combination, but handicaps do get adjusted as per the USGA. This must declared before the start of the league.

          • Men's forward tees are Blue (front) & White (back)

          • Women's forward tees are Red (front) & Blue (back)

      • All playoffs will be played from the back tees.

  • Teams will be flighted based on the overall combined handicap for the team.

      • The max Playing Handicap will be set at 32 for all golfers.

  • League fees are $70.00 per competitor, and includes:

      • weekly pin prizes,

      • payouts to the four teams making the playoffs, and

      • year end BBQ.

  • Player Responsibilities:

      • SFCC staff will be responsible for posting all league scores.

      • Each player must confirm their weekly score cards and turn them into the Proshop and the SFCC staff will post scores along with the results.

      • Please do not post your scores as well. It will cause the proshop to have the lengthy task of deleting all double posts.

  • League Handicaps:

      • GHIN Handicaps are used to determine your handicap for league play, so all players MUST have a USGA GHIN Handicap in order to participate.

      • You receive 85% of your handicap. To calculate strokes awarded, take 85% of your handicap index (See 85% Handicap Chart), then stroke off the lowest handicap of the group.

      • Example: If Team 1 Player A is a 3 handicap, and Team 2 Player A is a 6 handicap, the player from Team 1 will be playing as a 0 handicap and the player from Team 2 will play as a 3 handicap.

  • Playoffs:

      • A two-week playoff season will begin after completion of the regular season and culminate in championship and consolation matches.

      • The top team from each division will qualify for the playoffs and will be seeded 1 through 3 based on their total regular season points earned.

      • Each seeded team will compete in the final.

  • Playoff Spot/Seed Tiebreakers:

      • In the event of a tie, when deciding which team advances to the playoffs and playoff seedings, ties are decided based on head-to-head matches. If there is still a tie after comparing head-to-head matches, the advancing team is determined by (in order):

      • Total points from the last 3 weeks of play

      • Total points from the last week of play

  • Forfeits:

      • All League players must find a sub if they are unable to play.

      • If both members of a team cannot play, they forfeit the week.

      • The forfeiting player/team gets zero points and the winning player/team by forfeit gets 6 points.

      • If both teams are absent, the match must be made up within one week.

      • If the match has not been made up within one week both teams get zero points for the week.

  • Substitutes:

      • Matches are played in accordance with the USGA Handicap System.

      • All players and substitute players MUST HAVE an active GHIN Handicap to play.

      • Teams/players are responsible for finding their own subs.

      • If only one member of a team can play, he/she plays against the opposing team.

      • Team/players MUST notify SFCC staff a minimum of 24 hours before the start of their match of any/all substitute players.

      • Teams/players that fail to notify SFCC of their subs within 24 hours of their match starting time will have said sub play to a zero handicap.

      • A list of subs is available through the SFCC proshop, and we will make every effort to help connect you with a sub, but it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to cover your absence.

      • SFCC will not be held responsible if a sub cannot be found.

      • ALL SUBS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE GHIN HANDICAP OR THEY WILL PLAY TO A ZERO HANDICAP.

  • Weather Cancellations:

      • League play is not canceled (even for rain) unless the course is unplayable or there is lightning.

      • Players should call ahead when conditions are questionable to confirm the status of play.

      • If the weather turns inclement after play has begun, players are expected to wait until the weather clears and complete the match that day. If weather does not allow the match to be finished that day, the remaining holes to be played are halved.

      • If league is cancelled due to weather, it is the responsibility of the golfers to play/finish their match prior to the next week's league night.
