Let's get down to all the details so there is transparency and we're all on the same page.
At Salinoback Border Collies, we are committed to the ethical and responsible breeding of happy, healthy, well-adjusted pedigree Border Collies.
The following conditions apply to all puppy purchases and are agreed upon at the time of sale.
All puppies are sold as pedigree Border Collies, registered with the Master Dog Breeders & Associates (MDBA).
All puppies are sold on a Limited Register unless otherwise arranged by written agreement.
Limited Register means the puppy is not to be bred or shown.
This registration still confirms pedigree status and allows participation in training, dog sports, and other non-conformation events.
Puppies are DNA clear by parentage for all currently testable inherited conditions through Orivet Full Breed Profile.
Every puppy will be:
Microchipped
Vaccinated (first vaccination completed)
Wormed regularly
Thoroughly vet-checked prior to leaving our care
A copy of the vet health check and vaccination certificate will be provided.
We recommend having your puppy checked by your own vet within 72 hours of arrival. In the unlikely event of a serious congenital health issue, a replacement or refund may be discussed (excluding injury or illness occurring after collection).
Australian Buyers: $3,500 starting from AUD
International Buyers: $7,000 starting from AUD
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of selecting your puppy to confirm your choice.
The final payment is due after the vet check, prior to collection or transport (around 7–8 weeks of age).
No puppy will be released or transported until payment is received in full.
Puppies sold on a Limited Register must be desexed by 12 months of age (unless otherwise agreed in writing).
Proof of desexing is to be provided to the breeder for our records.
If for any reason you are unable to keep your puppy at any point in their life, you must notify Salinoback Border Collies first.
We will assist with rehoming or, if necessary, accept the dog back into our care.
Under no circumstances may the dog be surrendered to a shelter, resold, or rehomed without the breeder’s knowledge and consent.
Puppies are not to be bred or shown unless sold on Main Register with prior written agreement.
Breeding rights are not automatically granted and must be approved and documented prior to purchase.
Completion of our Puppy Waitlist Questionnaire and placement on the waitlist does not guarantee a puppy.
Salinoback Border Collies reserves the right to refuse the sale of any puppy at any time if we believe the home is unsuitable or if the placement is not in the best interest of the puppy.
Puppies are available for collection from 8 weeks of age (later for international travel).
Local buyers are encouraged to collect in person. Transport can be arranged at the buyer’s expense, with all logistics planned around the puppy’s safety and wellbeing.
We offer lifetime support for every puppy we place. Whether it’s questions about training, health, behaviour, or general care, we’re always here to help.
We love to hear updates and see how your puppy is growing and settling into your family.
By purchasing a puppy from Salinoback Border Collies, you acknowledge and agree to these conditions and to providing a loving, safe, and responsible forever home.
If you have any questions about these terms, we’re happy to clarify at any time.
Exciting times ahead!
:-)
