The Heart of Salinoback Border Collies: A Family’s Lifelong Love:

At Salinoback Border Collies, our story begins not in a kennel, but in a home surrounded by love and the soft nuzzle of a loyal Border Collie named Paris. She was our very first, and while we never bred her, she lived a long and joyful life of nearly 20 years, setting the tone for what would become a lifelong devotion to this incredible breed.

Growing up with Border Collies sparked a dream in me from a very young age: to one day raise and breed these extraordinary dogs alongside my children and Husband. Their intelligence, sensitivity, and deeply human-like loyalty captivated me then and still do today. When I became a mother we lived on a beautiful 5 acre property in New South Wales and that dream became a reality, we started our breeding program with Chino our beautiful red and white Border Collie.

Chino was our second Border Collie and the first to be part of our breeding journey. With Chino, we began Salinoback Border Collies, a small, boutique breeding program born not out of ambition, but out of affection and commitment to quality.

As our love for the breed grew, we welcomed Mocha to our program, an energetic, playful, and mischievous girl. Mocha added a lively spark to Salinoback and is greatly loved. 

We are proud to have Remi with us, the youngest of our Girls, Chino’s daughter, who has inherited her mother’s gentle spirit and snuggly nature. She’s incredibly cuddly, sensitive, and calm… unless there’s a lead in my hand, then she’s all action and adventure!

We believe in breeding Border Collies with purpose, patience, and pride. Our program is deeply focused on maintaining pure, healthy bloodlines, and above all, producing dogs with excellent temperaments. For us, it's never been about quantity. We breed rarely and intentionally, ensuring that every puppy we raise receives the time, love, and socialisation they need to become an extraordinary companion. 

Now living on the beautiful Sunshine Coast with our family of five, our Border Collies remain true family members, sharing our home, our routines, and many walks to the beach and runs in off leash areas. Every puppy born at Salinoback is raised underfoot, not in runs or kennels, and we take great care in placing them into homes where they will be equally cherished.

Our mission is simple: to honour the Border Collie breed by raising dogs that embody their best qualities, intelligence, empathy & loyalty. From our family to yours, we are proud to share the joy that only a Border Collie can bring.
