Leroy Anderson biography
Leroy Anderson studied at Harvard University, where he also led the Harvard University Band during his undergraduate and graduate years. Following his time at Harvard, Anderson enjoyed a lifelong collaboration with Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops Orchestra, writing and recording dozens of popular light orchestral pieces such as Sleigh Ride, The Typewriter, The Syncopated Clock, Jazz Pizzicato, Blue Tango, and Bugler's Holiday. He received numerous honors and awards throughout his career, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
