Resources on the Loneliness Epidemic
In 2023, the United States Surgeon General declared loneliness an epidemic. Though it may sound a bit strange, loneliness affects people every day. Over time, loneliness has negative implications on physical and emotional well-being. To prevent loneliness in our community, Salem started a chapter of Craft Rats, hoping to bring together some individuals most at risk for health impacts from loneliness. This club aims to spread awareness about the dangers of loneliness, and target young adults (18-25), as this population is most at risk for isolation!
