What is the history of Salem Craft Rats?
Craft Rats is a craft club that started in 2024 in Boston Massachusetts. This inspired some of Salem's residents to apply the fundamentals of group crafting to our beloved home town.
How can I get involved?
At the bottom of this page, you will find a few resources to get you involved! Whether it is a follow on socials or joining our discord server, we would love to have you in our circle! Of course, you are always welcome to simply show up at our meetings!
How do I become a member?
To become a member, you must show up to at least three meetings to gain a membership card! Keep in mind that you do not need to be a member to attend meetings. The card is just for street cred.
Where does Salem Craft Rats meet?
Salem Craft Rats meetings will be hosted at two locations. The first is the IKE Box in Salem. Meetings will occur in the Community Room. Their address is 299 Cottage St. NE Salem, OR. The second is the Salem Public Library's Plaza Room. Their address is 585 Liberty St, SE Salem, OR. Each date on the calendar denotes where the location of the event is.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
If you have a work-in-progress, please bring it! However, Salem Craft Rats does not want access to crafts to be a barrier for anyone. There will be some select supplies available during the meeting for those who'd like it.
I can't make the meetings; can I still be involved?
Yes! This timeslot is subject to change in the future, as availabilities change, but for now, you can share your joy of crafts virtually through the discord link at the bottom of this page.
