Barry Walls -- Pastor
Barry Walls -- Pastor
Pastor Barry Walls has a deep heart for God’s Word and a passion for shepherding people through every season of life. With his love for biblical teaching and a gift for connecting with people, he strives to help the church grow in both truth and grace. His preaching is clear, heartfelt, and grounded in Scripture.
Barry joined Salem Baptist Church in 2005 and has been faithfully leading ever since. When he isn’t in the pulpit, you might find him reading a book, watching British television, tending to his garden, or drinking a cup of coffee.
Above all, Barry is committed to making the gospel known, building up disciples, and walking closely with the Lord each day.
Lyle Smith -- Worship Director
Lyle Smith -- Worship Director
Lyle Smith serves as our Worship Director, leading with a deep commitment to Christ-centered, congregational worship. With a thoughtful combination of tradition and intentionality, he strives to see the entire church body participate, not just observe, in worship.
Drawing primarily from the Redback Hymnal and time-honored gospel songs, Lyle believes that music should be theologically rich, singable, and focused on the glory of God. His leadership reflects a desire to keep worship rooted in reverence, emphasizing participation over performance.
Adam Mitchell-- Sunday School Director & Pianist
Adam Mitchell-- Sunday School Director & Pianist
Oversees Sunday School ministry by equipping teachers and organizing curriculum, while also leading worship through piano accompaniment.
Maeve Smith-- Creative Director
Maeve Smith-- Creative Director
Leads communication, outreach, and event planning efforts with creativity and clarity, helping the church share its mission within and beyond the walls.
Melinda Walls-- WMU Director
Melinda Walls-- WMU Director
Leads the Women’s Missionary Union by organizing mission offerings, promoting spiritual initiatives, and encouraging active participation in outreach.
Christina King-- Nursery Director
Christina King-- Nursery Director
Oversees the nursery and maintains it as a safe, clean, and welcoming space for children from infancy through preschool.
Regina Shaver-- Treasurer; Asst. Clerk

Manages the church’s finances with integrity, overseeing budgets, donations, and financial reporting to ensure faithful stewardship.
Carolyn Ward-- Clerk

Keeps records of church membership, meeting minutes, and official documentation to support smooth, transparent church operations.
