I'm honored to be your Commander. I spent 10 years in the army conducting maintenance on the UH-60 Helicopter. I am blessed to work as a site manager for Knowater Roofing and Construction. I seek to build this post into a cornerstone of the community - one that has a building to call home. I look forward to using my skills in networking, professional communications, and corporate management to benefit the post.

I'm proud to serve as Post #585's Vice Commander and look forward to ways we can serve our community.
From 1990 to 2019 I held a variety of command and staff positions from Team Leader to Deputy Fire Support Coordinator within the 49th Armored Division, 4th Infantry Division, 2nd Infantry Division, Field Artillery Training Center, 212th Field Artillery Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, 25th Infantry Division and the 3rd Armored Corps. My deployments included Operation Iraqi Freedom II, Operation Iraqi Freedom IV, Operation New Dawn and Operation Inherent Resolve.
My awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal (4 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Valorous Unit Award (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Meritorious Unit Citation, Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal (1 Bronze Campaign Star), Iraqi Campaign Medal (2 Bronze Campaign Stars), Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (1 Bronze Campaign Star), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon with seven devices. He has also been awarded the Combat Action Badge and Basic Parachutist Badge.
Since retiring from the military I have been active with the Salado Museum, Lions Club, and a number of other civic organizations. I have also served as an alderman with our municipal government for the past 3+ years.

Howdy,
I'm proud to be a charter member of the Salado American Legion. I served just over 4 years in the Army as a Joint Fires Observer in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. I'm grateful for my time as an enlisted soldier and non-commissioned officer and look forward to continuing to serve the community through the Salado American Legion, Post # 585.
Currently I am an accountant with the SPJST, a fraternal benefit society, in Temple, TX. I am a licensed CPA and look forward to using accounting, finance, analytics, and governance skills honed through my career to benefit the Post.
Three Facts:
I trained competitive teams in Robert’s Rules of Order for 5 years in the National FFA Organization.
I was a public accountant, providing assurance services to include audits of nonprofits.
I was on the Board of Trustees for American Legion Post 533.

Hello,
My name is Jesse Mondragon and I’m a resident of Salado. I am a US Army veteran. I served 6 1/2 years active duty with the 87th Sapper Company, 36 engineer brigade at Fort Cavazos. I deployed twice to Iraq and once to Afghanistan as a comat engineer (12b) clearing routes of IEDs. I became a member of the American Legion to be further involved in the community, and to meet fellow veterans. I am currently the elected sergeant at arms for the American Legion post.

Hello -
I'm Adam Dials, resident of Salado. I'm a still serving US Army veteran, currently assigned to III Corps Headquarters. I've done three years in the sandbox, two in Iraq (A/1-9CAV and C/3-144IN) and one in Horn of Africa (3-144IN). I am involved in the Legion to help make Salado a better place and build community at the same time.
