Approximately 0.6 km from campus, Campus Tower Suite Hotel offers various accommodations at reasonable prices.

The Students' Union Building(SUB) at the University of Alberta houses a food court, convenience store, pharmacy, and bookstore. Various other food places and dining halls are present on the campus. A full list of campus food facilities can be found here:

Around Edmonton:
Buses and trains are accessible from various parts of the campus. Navigation information is available on the Edmonton Transit website (https://www.edmonton.ca/edmonton-transit-system-ets).
Transit fares: A single adult fare is $3.75 and is valid for 90 minutes. Cash fares are accepted on the bus, but you will want to have the exact amount as no change is provided. Tickets must be purchased before entering buses and the LRT (Light Rail Transit); you cannot purchase a ticket from the driver. For dining and shopping options and a great atmosphere, visit 82 Avenue NW (also known popularly as "Whyte Avenue"), considered as the most bustling street of the city. You can locate the street on Google Maps and access it through a simple 10-minute walk from the UAlberta campus or by taking various buses on campus such as 4-Capitlano, and 8-Abbotsfield.
You can get to the downtown core from the university by taking the LRT going to the direction of "Clareview" or "NAIT" and get down any of the downtown stations: Churchill, Bay-Enterprise Square, Corona, and Government Centre. Jasper Avenue located is considered as the second most bustling street of the city and also has a bunch of dining and shopping options. At the Government Centre station, the Alberta Legislature Grounds and Victoria Park, and at Churchill station, the Royal Alberta Museum, the Art Gallery of Alberta, Churchill Square, and Louise McKinney Riverfront Park are the top recommended sites to visit for sightseeing.
