A total research grant amounting to 81.97 lakhs has been received for scientific and technological advancements.
A DST-FIST grant of 60.00 lakhs was awarded to Dr. A. Senthil Kumar and Dr. K. Sakthipandi for establishing research facilities at Sethu Institute of Technology.
Dr. K. Sakthipandi secured an SERB-Fast Track research grant of 20.57 lakhs for the synthesis and characterisation of polymer blended lanthanide-doped nano ferrites during 2014–2017.

Dr. M. Sivabharathy and Dr. K. Sakthipandi organized a two-day national workshop on microscopic and spectroscopic characterisation techniques, funded by DAE-BRNS for 0.50 lakhs on May 30–31, 2017.
An extension lecture series on X-ray crystallography was conducted by Dr. K. Sakthipandi on March 26–27, 2018, with funding 0.35 lakhs from IISc Bangalore.
A two-day national workshop on theory and practice of X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy was organized by Dr. K. Sakthipandi and Dr. M. Sivabharathy on April 24–25, 2019, with funding of 0.50 lakhs from SERB and 0.40 lakhs from CSIR.
Dr. K. Sakthipandi, Dr. B. Sethuraman, and Dr. K. Venkatesan organized the International Conference on Frontiers in Materials Science and Technology: Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development on December 5–6, 2024, with grants of 1.25 lakhs from ANRF and 0.50 lakhs from CSIR.
