Welcome to Sakodler History. On this website you will find different pieces of chosen history from all around the world. When you click on the different pieces of History you will see them displayed vertically with photos. This website is open to anyone who has an interest in history and social subjects. I have chosen these historical events because i find them interesting and they give a good idea on the impact they have. In this sentence i will discuss what the 6 topics on this website are about: Romans in Scotland - A period where the Romans would conquer the country in AD building ancient buildings and fought battles against different tribes. World War 2 - A global war that was fought between the allied powers: UK, US, Soviet Union and the axis: Germany, Italy, Japan that lasted between 1939 and 1945. Ancient Egypt: A timeline of how civilisation evolved in one of the oldest countries in the world throughout BC and AD. 1929: Wall Street Crash - A stock market crash that occured in New York in late October of 1939. French Revolution - A political revolution that changed the governance of France and led to the abolishment of the monarchy and Napoleon ruling the country. Spanish Civil War - A war that occured in the late 1930s that was fought between the Nationalists and the Republicans in Spain. I will then explain why i chose each of these topics: Romans in Scotland - This is an important topic which explores Scotland throughout the period of AD and the impact of the Roman's conquest, World War 2 - This is an important historical event because it heavily impacted on global economics, geopolitics and society. Ancient Egypt - This topic is important because the evolution of the country resulted in the rise of medicines, engineering and literature across the world. 1929 Wall Street Crash - This was a major economic disater that resulted in the period of great depression which impacted many countries globally throughout the 1930s. French Revolution - This period of French history is interesting as it involved major unrest to abolish one of Europe's last monarchies. Spanish Civil War - This historical event is interesting because it expains how political instability impacted Spain throughout the early 1900s.
