Hi, I’m Sajid Shah, a wedding photographer based in Mumbai.
I’m originally from Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand, and I started my photography journey in 2016. I began my career with a photography company in my hometown, Foto Me, where I worked as both a photo editor and photographer. This is where I built my foundation and understanding of visual storytelling.
Later, I moved to Ranchi and continued working with Foto Me at their main branch, gaining more experience and exposure. In 2018, I decided to step out and explore independently. I worked as a freelancer in Bhubaneswar for a month, followed by a short stint in Delhi.
In 2019, I joined VS Studio in Kolkata as a full-time photographer and editor, where I further refined my skills in both shooting and post-production.
In 2021, I left the job to pursue freelancing full-time, and on 21st November 2022, I moved to Mumbai to grow and challenge myself in a bigger creative space.
Since then, I’ve been working as a freelance photographer, capturing weddings, street life, and documentary projects with a strong focus on real moments and storytelling.
For me, photography is not just a profession — it’s a way to document life as it is, raw and honest

Worked as a Full-Time Photographer & Editor, handling shoots and post-production.
2021 — Transition to Freelancing
Left full-time job to pursue freelancing and independent projects.
Nov 21, 2022 – Present — Mumbai (Freelance)
Working as a freelance documentary, street, and wedding photographer, collaborating with multiple studios and clients across India.
Also leading teams on shoots — managing direction, coordination, and overall creative execution.
