About Me
I am a Postdoc researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technolog in Stockholm, Sweden. Before joining KTH, I defended my PhD (Link), on March 28, 2022, in multiphase flows modelings, at CentraleSupélec-Paris Saclay université in Paris- France in collaboration with IFP Energies nouvelles (Rueil-Malmaison).
My current research is focused on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling of carbon dioxide (CO₂) absorption and desorption, a common post-combustion carbon capture technique aimed at mitigating global warming. This work evaluates the influence of various parameters, such as pressure, temperature, CO₂ partial pressure, and composition, on the absorption and desorption rates. Additionally, I am engaged in Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) modeling of reactive evaporation and condensation of N₂O₄ <-> NO₂ at the droplet scale and in channel flows. This research utilizes reactive vapor-liquid equilibrium thermodynamics with real fluid equations of state.
Before, I got my master degree in fluid mechanics engineering, in combustion systems, from Sharif University of technology in 2015, as the nation’s leading institution for science in my country. The main objectives of my Ph.D. and M.S. research projects were fundamental understanding, developing, and the simulation of fuel atomization, phase transition, and mixing process of multicomponent systems by developing various theoretical and numerical models such as Vapour liquid equilibrium tabulation(VLE), Analythical hydroynamic instability theory, and Volume of Fluid (VOF). During those years, I had various adventures to work with diverge trade codes as Converge CFD(C++), IFPC3D(Fortran based), Ansys fluent, and somehow OpenFOAM.
Besides, in order to further my education in addition to my studies in turbomachinery, I attended various courses and training sessions at the Institution of French Petroleum School (IFP school) on the energy economy and energy policies.
