Peptide-Functionalized Calix[4]arene

This project focuses on coupling peptide motifs onto a calix[4]arene through various coupling methods, utilizing the calix[4]arene as an organizing platform. The bifunctionalization of the calix[4]arene in the upper part is achieved through a series of chemical reactions, including O-acylation, transalkylation, saponification, nucleophilic substitution, among others.

Functionalizing calixarenes has the potential to offer innovative solutions across various fields. In particular, within the pharmaceutical realm, incorporating the RGD motif plays a crucial role in cell adhesion.
