In this project, I focused on the development and enhancement of polymer nanocomposites with a particular emphasis on polyurethane and Nafion-based systems. A significant part of the work involved the functionalization of nanocellulose to improve the properties of these nanocomposites. The functionalized nanocellulose was incorporated into Nafion to enhance its mechanical, thermal, and barrier properties. Various characterization techniques, including spectroscopic and microscopic methods, were employed to analyze the structure and performance of the modified materials. This work aims to contribute to the advancement of high-performance, durable polymer nanocomposites for a range of industrial applications.
