I received my PhD in Linguistics from the University of Toronto in 2024. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Linguistics at UCLA working with Michelle Yuan. My research is in theoretical syntax and its interface with morphology. I am particularly interested in morphosyntactic alignment, and more broadly, case and agreement systems. My research has also been extended to topics in nominal syntax including definiteness and nominal linkers. Much of my work has been informed by data from understudied languages from the Iranian language family. I explore how cross-linguistic variation informs linguistic theory and how such patterns can be systematically captured. As such, my approach combines fieldwork data collection and theoretical modeling.
