 Hello! Welcome to my website!

I completed my PhD in Linguistics from the Department of Linguistics at the University of Toronto in Fall 2023. I currently hold a Research Associate position at the University of Toronto Mississauga. My primary research interests are in syntax and morphology. I explore case and agreement patterns in both clausal and nominal domains. In the clausal domain, I have explored the nuanced microvariations of ergative patterns across several understudied languages and dialects from the Iranian language family. My research in the nominal domain has been focused on definiteness, number marking and the syntax of nominal linkers. I believe profound knowledge about linguistic phenomena and worthwhile theorizing about them rely heavily on a careful data collection. As such, my research combines primary data collection and formal theoretical modeling.
