[Sept 2024] Funding News: Dr. Saha's proposal, “Development of an Ethical Machine Learning Framework for Sleep Apnea Diagnosis,” has been awarded funding by the NIH's AIM-AHEAD Program. This ~$148k grant will enable Resonance Lab to develop ethical AI pipeline for sleep apnea diagnosis.

[July 2024] Dr. Saha organized a mini-symposium on "Equitable Digital Tech in Cardio-Respiratory Engineering" at the 46th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, held in Orlando, Florida, USA, July 15-19, 2024.
We explored studies focused on the heart failure population in Uganda, demonstrating the potential for innovative solutions in resource-limited settings. Furthermore, we discussed the challenges and advancements in managing sleep apnea among people experiencing homelessness, underscoring the importance of accessible healthcare for all communities. Finally, we presented the impact of skin tone on pulse oximetry and novel methodologies for achieving equitable optoelectronic devices.
