RESONANCE LAB -Responsible Management and Optimization of Chronic Diseases through NovelArtificial Intelligence
Resonance Lab is a research laboratory led by Dr. Shumit Saha in the Department of Biomedical Data Science, part of the School of Applied Computational Sciences (SACS) at Meharry Medical College, located in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
Resonance Lab focuses on managing chronic diseases using digital technologies. The Lab's two main research directions are:
a) Developing new technologies, such as mobile applications and wearable devices with embedded artificial intelligence (AI), to manage chronic conditions like heart failure, sleep apnea, asthma, COPD, and cancer. The goal is to create accessible and cost-effective technologies that empower patients to manage their own care.
b) Advancing the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of chronic diseases by enhancing patient education on self-care management and rigorously evaluating AI technologies to ensure their effectiveness.
The overarching aim of our lab is to improve healthcare quality through innovative technology solutions.
