Being part of a free agent in this UXL Designathon, I got the chance to work with team members across different universities across Canada. I was able to learn newer UX Design concepts from them which I did not know in prior, and I was able to show them some of the UX Research concepts that I have learned from previous projects.
I learned how to manage my time, and worked effectively on this project within the 36 hours timeframe as this was a hackathon. Time Management is a key skill for most UX Designers, and I feel proud that I have adapted to it in this project.
Based on the requirements of this hackathon, I learned how to create a pitch video along with my team members in explaining the process of what we have done for this project.
Overall, this project have made me to learn so many greatful things from the hackathon. I had the opportunity to attend different workshops such as Design Research & Thinking ran by Rogers, Figma, KPMG UX Design, and Pitch workshops. All of these workshops have helped me with this project, and have allowed me to take away long-term knowledge home. Attending this hackathon, and completing this project within the 36 hours timeframe have allowed me to win one of the giveaway prizes. This experience have made me to expand my interest of pursuing a career within UX/UI Design & Research or Product Design.
