The 2025 VA House of Delegates Elections, a confluence of contests that saw the Democratic Party's 51-49 seat majority Grow to a 64-36 seat majority (at the moment) underscores the strength of the night for National Democrats.
Herein, they won every single one of their target districts, besting incumbents such as the Dean of the HoD Del. Bobby Orrock, the once-up-and-coming but scandal tarred Del. A.C. Cordoza and Del. Carrie Coyner, who released the infamous Jay Jones texts that upended the VA AG race
With these results, Democrats have a strong majority heading into the upcoming redistricting session.
However, while the GOP was unable to stop a VA Dems sweep, they can still county on merely being a 51-49 seat minority in the senate, by which while the Dems have a united majority, the GOP can still force some close votes
