The District Representative Election for PR's 30th House District, one of the surprises of the night saw Three Term Incumbent Narmito Ortiz Lugo fall to 2020 Guayama Mayoral Candidate Fernándo Sanabria.
Whilst Swingier on the gubernatorial level, such as when Pedro Rosselló won an earlier itteration of this seat in his 2004 loss, the PPD had held this seat almost continuously since the party's founding, only losing it once in the 2008 Fortuño landslide.
However, in this election, while Narmito Ortiz was kept afloat by Salinas, losing his native Guayama and especially the in recent years strong PPD town of Arroyo (where the PPD showed weakness on the mayoral level despite a strong showing for incumbents overall) allowed for Sanabria to win HD-30
It should be noted that Guayama mayor O'brain Vázquez had little issue being reelected to his first full term as mayor, as such it is possible that the Guayama mayoral special election, where Narmito only won just over 1/3rd of the vote, contributed to divisions in the Guayama PPD that resulted in this reelection loss.
Moving over to the statewide contests, Then-Resident Commishiner Jenniffer González won this seat by 13.5% over islandwide thirdplace finnisher Jesus Manuel Ortiz, with second place finisher Juan Dalmau taking 26.5% of the vote.
Likewise Pablo José Hernandez won this seat by 9.3% over State Senator William Villafañe.
Lastly, Statehood achieved a 22.5% majority win over Free Assosiation in the seat, losing only one precinct to free assosiation.
