the 2025 LD-36th GOP Assembly Primary, a contest between Carlstadt Councilwoman Diane DeBiase and former Lyndhurst school board member Chris Musto vs 2023 State Senate and State Assembly candidates Chris & Craig Auriema (twins) resulted in a commanding victory for the two Bergen Republican Endorsed Electeds.
Winning in part due to the afformentioned party support, and the Auriema's being tied to poop-gate candidate Joseph Viso, DeBiase and Musto now face Incumbents Gary Schaer and Clinton Calabrese in this Biden+13.7%/Trump+4.5% seat who in 2023 won by a combined (D) +21.8%
The 2025 GOP LD-39 Primary, a contest which saw 2020 & 2022 NJGOP CD-05 candidate Frank Pallotta Challenge Robert Auth and John Arraziti in an upstart challenge, akin to his 2020 off the line run, that saw him losing to Auth and Arraziti by over 25%
Specifically slamming Auth for being insufficiently conservative and endorsing noted Trump-Critic Jon Bramnick for the GOP gubernatorial nomination, Pallotta sought to paint himself as the true conservative in this Biden-Trump ancestrally Republican seat that saw an unexpectedly close race in 2023.
However, it didn't work, as the BCRO's organizational strength in local races allowed for both Arraziti and Auth to hold on to the nomination for the 2025 General Assembly elections.
the NJ LD-13 GOP Assembly Primary, a contest between Incumbents Gerry Scharfenberger, Vicky Flynn, and Spadea-Ally/Conservative stalwart Rich Castaldo saw both incumbents hold on despite Flynn being nearly pulled into a single digit margin of victory by Castaldo
The closest result for the Monmouth County Conservative Republicans Slate, which also fielded a county Commissioner and Clerk candidate, the MCCR claimed that the Monmouth County Republican Organization—including Flynn—as insufficiently conservative or Pro-Trump
With these three races being a minor challenge to Monmouth Sheriff Shaun Golden's Political power in the county & the MCRO's strong support for now-2025 Gubernatorial nominee Jack Ciattarelli.
