The 2024 Presidential Election in Hudson County, amidst a national collapse in the Latino vote, Kamala Harris won this plurality Latino Couny by 28%, with it swinging to trump by 18% as Biden won it by 46%.
The Bulk of this swing was concentrated in the Hispanic community in North Hudson, with the Supermajority Hispanic towns of Union City and North Bergen swinging rightwards by 27% and 28% respectively.
the swing wasn't contained to Latinos, however, as the dominantly Yuppy heavy Hoboken, Towny white Bayonne, Suburban white/Asian Secaucus, and diverse Jersey City all swung right by 14%, 16%, 15% and 13% respectively.
Further, Gaza did play an issue amongst the Arab community mostly in Ward C, as the reddest precinct in Jersey City is a dominantly Egyptian one that was won by uncommitted in the Primary
Overall though, the 18% swing is a major problem for New Jersey Democrats, and if this worst performance for a Dem since 1992 holds, could spell trouble for Dems in holding the traditionally Blue State of New Jersey.
