The 2024 Democratic primary for Camden County's Clerkship, a contest between Pamela Assemblywoman Pamela Lampitt and Progressive Rebecca Holloway was a strong victory for Lampitt in this first of its kind lineless open contest.
Here, due to the abolishment of the line, Camden Progressives road to their strongest showing, winning roughly 40% to the Norcross Machine's 60%—utilizing a strong local campain and Patricia Campos-Medina's coattails amongst Latinos to achieve their historic result.
However, despite the percent not being too surprising, what is surprising is the fact that in their win, Camden Progressives were able to carry the City of Camden—the proverbial home of Norcross' Machine—by a narrow 1.5% (50.5-49.0%).
They did this thanks strong strong Hispanic and Decent African American support.
Both of this was likely due to Campos-Medina's and Lawrance Hamm's Senate Campaigns,
