The 2016 US House of Representatives Election in NJ-11, the narrowest reelection of Longtime Incumbent Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen’s career over unfunded West Orange Attorney & challenger Joseph Wenzel was the last time that the GOP would hold NJ-11 on the House Level

Here, Frelinghuysen’s staying by Trump in the wake of the Access Hollywood tape scandal did significant damage to him in a seat that swung hard towards Democrats in 2016 — even if Frelinghuysen’s support and the ancestral GOP lean of the seat still allowed Donald Trump to win it narrowly over Hillary Clinton
