2024 AK Ballot Measure 2: "Repeal RCV"

As things currently Stand, Alaska's Ballot Measure 2, or the ballot Measure to Repeal RCV is passing by 0.6%, though it's passage is still a tossup with the ballots left to count.

Here, after its implementation resulted in Democrat Mary Peltola being Elected to Alaska's At-Large congressional seat in 2022 as well as Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski's reelection, Conservative groups set their sights on repealing the voting system to get an upper hand in Alaska's politics through closed primaries.

While the Repeal side had enough funding to get on the ballot and campaign, the effort to prevent it's repeal outraised the repeal efforts $12 Million to $120K—with a good amount of Moderate Republicans seeking to help RCV survive this election.

Once more, as things stand, it's up in the air as to whether repeal passes, and it will come down to the 14.5K ballots left to Count. If Repeal fails, then it is likely that the massive Spending advantage for No was too much to overcome this year.

However, if Repeal does win, the likely culprit is the read leaning year that engulfed the US, one which brought former Republican President Donald Trump to win Alaska by 14%, ~12% more than his national margin as of writing.
