And the far right anti-immigrant Sanseitō, whose party was able to get seats in the Tokyo Metro (Tokyo, Saitama, and Kanagawa) MMDs as well as one in Aichi and Fukuoka Prefectures—barely missing out on an SMD in Gunma Prefecture.

Further, Sanseitō’s vote is said to be concentrated among Right wing LDPers who are dissatisfied with the current state of the party, but didn’t want to vote for options to the left of the governing party
