The 1960 Demographic data in NYC, it should be noted here that neither 1960 nor 1970 ask a question that identifies hispanic as hispanics, but NHGIS backfilled 1970 with the census' work analyzing hispanics. Similar work was not done for 1960
Rather than a Hispanic Question, the Census took a look at Denizens with a Spanish or Latino Surname, those numbers, and a heatman are below.
