Academic Writing Workshop
To enhance students’ readiness for final examinations, the Department of English organizes an annual review session of internal exam answer papers under the guidance of Dilip Barad Sir, with the support of Prakruti Ma’am and Megha Ma’am. This initiative enables students to identify frequent errors, strengthen their writing techniques, and develop a more systematic approach to answering questions. By revisiting their own responses, students deepen their understanding of key concepts and learn to articulate their ideas with greater clarity and confidence.
In addition to this review process, the department conducts a workshop titled “Essay Type Answer Analysis” aimed at further improving academic writing skills. The workshop focuses on essential aspects of essay writing, including argument development, logical organization, and clarity of expression. Through detailed discussion and constructive feedback, students receive practical guidance that helps them refine their writing style and produce well-structured, analytical answers in examinations.
Technology has become an integral part of modern life, providing students with access to numerous applications and online platforms that support learning as well as skill development. Recognizing the increasing role of digital tools in education, a Digital Skilling Workshop was organized for first-year students to familiarize them with useful and emerging technological resources. The workshop aimed to help students explore new digital tools and understand how they can be effectively applied in their academic work and creative activities.
Conducted by senior students under the guidance of the ICT Committee, the workshop provided practical, hands-on experience with a variety of digital platforms designed to enhance research skills, productivity, and communication. Participants were introduced to tools for efficient note-taking, data management, presentation preparation, and digital content creation, allowing them to gain direct experience in using these applications. The interactive nature of the session encouraged active participation, helped students resolve their doubts, and created a collaborative learning environment. By the end of the workshop, students had gained a stronger awareness of how technology can be used effectively to support their academic progress and future professional growth.
