Students also visited the Saurashtra Samachar News Channel Studio, where they explored various aspects of broadcast journalism such as script preparation, live reporting techniques, and studio operations. Interactive discussions with media professionals further enriched the learning experience by addressing the rapid growth of digital media and emphasizing the significance of trustworthy news sources in today’s evolving media environment.

Academic Visit to the Regional Science Centre, Bhavnagar: Celebrating Nobel Day
On 10 December 2025, the Department of English organized an academic visit to the Regional Science Centre in Bhavnagar to mark the occasion of Nobel Day. The purpose of this visit was to encourage interdisciplinary learning by creating meaningful connections between the fields of science and the humanities, and by helping students appreciate the broader relevance of scientific thought within cultural and intellectual contexts.
During the visit, students explored five major galleries: Marine & Aquatic Science, Automobile, Biological Science, Electro-Mechanics, and the Nobel Gallery. Each section offered valuable insights into scientific principles, technological developments, and their practical applications. The Nobel Gallery was particularly inspiring, as it showcased the achievements of Nobel laureates and highlighted the importance of innovation, creativity, and sustained intellectual effort.
The visit strengthened our understanding of how scientific progress influences human thought, culture, and social development. It also provided an opportunity for informal interaction among students during a shared lunch, which further enriched the overall experience.
