BIO

Nikos Papadopoulos holds a BSc in Geology (2001), MSc (2003) and PhD. (2007) in Applied Geophysics from the University of Thessaloniki (Greece). He was a post-doctoral researcher (2008) in the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM). Since 2017 he is Associate Researcher in the Laboratory of Geophysical–Satellite Remote Sensing & Archaeoenvironment of IMS-FORTH. He has participated and/or organized in more than 100 geophysical projects in Greece, Cyprus, Hungary and S. Korea and has been the main researcher in more than 35 Greek and EU funded large scale projects. He has extensive collaborations with national and international university and research foundations from Turkey, Hungary, Cyprus, S. Korea, USA in supervising graduate and undergraduate students and participating in PhD and MSc evaluation committees. He acted as member of the Scientific/Organizing Committees and sessions of various international conferences and workshops. He iss Co-Editor of “Archaeo-Remote Sensing News” and participates in the review committees of different peer review journals within the geoscience research community. He has presented 74 Oral and 51 Poster communications in 75 international conferences and has given 13 invited lectures in Greece, S. Korea and USA. He hase published 3 chapters in books, 37 peer-reviewed journal papers, 34 refereed papers in books of proceedings, 50 extended abstracts, 5 papers in international newsletters, 64 Technical Reports and his work has more than 700 citations based on Google Scholar.
