Emergency Beacons for Search and Rescue
1. Boater in distress activates 406 EPIRB / PLB. The SOS signal is detected by earth-orbiting satellites.
2. Signal is forwarded to ground station for verification.
3. Ground station notifies central command (MCC) to initiate search and rescue (this could be TEMA).
4. MCC notifies the Coast Guard or the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) nearest to the boater’s location.
5. The RCC calls Boat for vessel description prior to leaving base. RCC dispatches applicable search and rescue resources.
Our Vision for Safety
SafeseaTools is committed to providing top-quality navigation and safety devices tailored for Tobago's artisanal fishermen. Our mission is to enhance sea travel safety by offering GPS navigation devices, emergency communication tools, weather alert systems, and comprehensive training and support services. We aim to mitigate the risks associated with getting lost at sea, lack of emergency communication channels, high operational costs, and limited awareness among fishermen.
