It’s all about enjoying ourselves while being mindful of our actions and precautions—no judgment, just compassion.
By reducing stigma and promoting awareness, we can thrive as a community that cares for one another, enhancing the beat of our local scene!
At Safe Scene, we believe harm reduction is more than just a service—it’s about building compassion and understanding across both the McMaster campus and the Hamilton community. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where harm reduction is accessible to everyone, not just for those who engage in substance use, but as a principle that can benefit the entire community.
Breaking Stigma: We actively work to challenge the harmful stereotypes and stigma associated with substance use. Harm reduction is not about promoting drug use; it's about providing tools and education to save lives and reduce harm in all areas of life.
Building Bridges: We’re committed to connecting students with the Hamilton community by hosting events, trainings, and outreach initiatives that help foster mutual understanding and support. Our work brings together students, educators, health professionals, and local organizations to promote harm reduction as a community effort.
