Thesis Keywords: composites, stir casting, tensile test, hardness test, impact test, density test
Research objectives – 1.To develop a strong and light weighted metal-matrix Al-Cu composite material which is useful in the industrial sectors as well as advanced machineries.
To fabricate Al-Cu metal-matrix by homogeneous stir-casting to produce High Strength Low-Cost Material (HSLCM).
Research challenges – 1. Fabrication of samples using stir casting technique because this procedure is not popular in Bangladesh. Arranging setup to melt materials at right temperature was very challenging
Research findings – 1. . At higher concentration of reinforcement, composites achieves better energy absorption capability.2. With increasing reinforcement composites shows poor strain property.
Future research prospects – I want to do a fatigue analysis of the composite to determine its fatigue life using simulation and machine learning
