WHY JOIN THE SACRED ASSEMBLY

To give the Assembly a focus of group identity and to edify us (build us up).

There are two sources of news, Pasture and the World. Pasture news revolves around our relationship with God, our community or fellowship, and our neighbour. World news - we are bombarded with that night and day.

Pasture news is rarely reported.

We want to inform you of any Pasture news, events, things which give glory to God and thereby edify us and what we are doing. If you have anything to report, please do so. Tell us about the activities you are involved in.

We will disseminate the news to you.

HOW TO JOIN THE SACRED ASSEMBLY

SACRED ASSEMBLY ACTIVITIES

These are the particular activities we have identified; more may evolve.

1.        Pray the Prayer of Worship & Rest daily for as long as you feel led.

2.        Meditate on God, Scripture, and ‘good things’. Meditation is a great way to imbibe new ways and habits.

3.        Intercede often for the Sacred Assembly to bear much fruit. Entreaty is a great setting for miracles to happen.

4.        Gather in meetings as ONE. Gathering as ONE is essential for the world to believe and know Jesus and His love (Jesus said it! He prayed for it!)

5.        Blot out schism in your midst. See MARKET PLACE in GATHER AS ONE.

6.        Identify any sin in your local church identified by Jesus in Revelation, and blot it out by forgiveness, intercession, and action to meliorate it.

7.        In your church, restore any lack of, and grow provision of, all the early church activities.

8.        Address any lack of commitment to love God, your community members, and your neighbour.

9.        Be actively zealous to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This is how the Holy Spirit helps us. This is the empowering Jesus talked about.

10.  Through prayer be empowered to be a witness to Jesus. Sow seeds, labour for the harvest, and most of all be available for others.

The reference to Bread Basket. Just as the little boy gave his bread basket to the Lord, who then magnified the gift 5,000 fold (John 6:8-10), so we pray our contributions are magnified 5,000 fold by the Lord.

·      We call ourselves ‘Simply Christians’.

·      We witness to Jesus in the power and unity of the Holy Spirit.

·      We go out in the expectation of signs and wonders.

·      We serve the needy in our midst.

OUR TEAM

We are a team of around 10 people (more turn out for the Worship & Witness services) who attend Hollybush Christian Fellowship.  Hollybush Christian Fellowship is located halfway between Northallerton and Thirsk, in a central position in the Vale of Mowbray. It is a church on a farm, on everyone’s doorstep.

We welcome people from other churches in the power and unity of the Holy Spirit to join us.

Display Stand

Our display stand is a focal point in the marketplace.

We hand out business cards with the address of this web site on. We witness to Jesus. We hand out tracts. We engage in discussion. We pray with people.

Discussion Boards

Three display boards fastened together in a triangular shape have a question at the top of each. The questions we currently use are:-

·      When did you feel most alive?

·      What would you do with your life without fear or negativity?

·      What do you think it means to be human?

People are invited to offer their words of wisdom in answer to these questions. Opportunities are opened up to put the idea that there is a loving God, on their hearts. As above, we hand out business cards with the address of this web site on. We witness to Jesus. We hand out tracts. We engage in discussion. We pray with people.

Worship & Witness Service

We worship God. We share Scripture. We give testimonies. Again, as above, we hand out business cards with the address of this web site on. We witness to jesus. We hand out tracts. We engage in discussion. We pray with people.

Other

We take opportunities as they present themselves to witness to Jesus. One way is to give out cakes to people, or bake a cake for a group and give it to them.
