GATHER AS ONE

Jesus wants us to be perfect in one, so the world will believe and know Him. This was His special ‘Prayer for All Believers’.

PRAYER OF WORSHIP & REST

HOUSE OF THE LORD

…around the throne … every creature … saying: “Blessing and honour and glory and power … be to Him. Revelation 5:11-13

I am the door. If anyone enters [the sheepfold] by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. John 10:9

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the temple. Ezekiel 43:5

Now, therefore, you are … fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, … Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone … you … are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. Ephesians 2:19-22

The HOUSE OF THE LORD is richly described in Scripture - around the throne, the sheepfold, the Secret Place of the Most High, the Temple of Ezekiel, the temple of living stones with Jesus as the cornerstone.

We enter the House of the Lord in the Prayer of Worship & Rest. In the House of the Lord there is no schism. We are in perfect unity.

QUIET PLACE

GARDEN

There is something special when we tarry awhile in a garden with the quiet of silence and stillness.

Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. John 10:7-9

It is as though we have all the conditions of security and peace, and the presence of the Lord alluded to in the metaphor of the sheepfold are with us in the garden

I will raise up for them a garden of renown, and they shall no longer be consumed with hunger in the land, nor bear the shame of the Gentiles anymore. Thus, they shall know that I, the Lord their God, am with them, and they, the house of Israel, are My people,” says the Lord God.’ Ezekiel 34:29-30

May the Lord raise up for us many gardens of renown that have the conditions for the quiet of silence and stillness.

UPPER ROOM

And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying; [they] all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication. Acts 1:13-14

To have a room set aside for prayer immediately brings up the association with the upper room in the Book of Acts. A room anywhere will do.

So, He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed. Luke 5:16

Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while. Mark 6:31

You can be alone or with others in the room set aside.

When we gather in a Quiet Place we enter the House of the Lord. Though we are in silent stillness in our prayer, we have all entered the House of the Lord. We are one in perfect unity.

MARKET PLACE

ACTIVITY – Gather in meetings as ONE. Gathering as ONE is essential for the world to believe and know Jesus and His love (Jesus  said it! He prayed for it!)

Market Place is a sort of generic term for being out somewhere amongst the general public. We simply gather to worship the Lord. We rise above any differences to be one, perfect in one. We witness to Jesus by our presence. We are an expression of the SACRED ASSEMBLY. We are physically in the same place with one accord just like the early church, and just like charismatic renewal meetings of the 60’s and 70’s.

We are called to be perfect in one so that the world will believe in and know Jesus and His love (Revival). If we are not perfect in our oneness that is hamartia. We harm revival in the Church.
