Sacramento County Regional Parks
Sacramento County's Department of Regional Parks maintains and operates more than 15,000 acres of parks throughout the County. Our open spaces, multi-use trails, sports facilities, golf courses, river access and picnic areas offer outdoor adventure for every taste. We have developed strong partnerships with our volunteer and non-profit partners, with steady support from our elected officials. The heart and soul of our operations is our people - more than one hundred employees who keep our parks safe, vibrant and inviting.

The Department of Regional Parks enhances the health, enjoyment and quality of life in the region by acquiring, managing, and protecting park and open space lands; educating the public on the uses and values of leisure time activities, and the cultural and natural history of the County; growing and linking a system of regional parks, trails and open space in Sacramento and neighboring counties; providing a broad range of recreational activities for the community’s diverse populations and; providing stewardship and protection of Sacramento County’s regional park system through partnerships, planning and community involvement.
