Introduction To SCSO

Welcome to The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department! Our Department prides itself on its Commitment to Excellence, which extends to all areas within the department. All Deputies are going to be expected to act, and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. This also includes working with other departments and any and all complaints on Deputies will be looked into, and punishment will be given that can go all the way up to Department Removal and Blacklist. All SCSD Deputies should also indulge themselves into our servers "RP” and truly act as if they were there, as we want all Deputies "RP” experience to be as immersive as possible. So go grab some food, have a coffee at the station, hit the streets and have some fun! Any questions or comments that you may have after reading this SOP can be directed to our “Discord” Department Chat, or support chat, where someone can help you out.

Crime Stoppers

Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers is a successful crime-fighting tool that encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime.  We overcome the key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.  We encourage citizens to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime.

Rancho Cordova Contract City

As the sheriffs office for the county we were contracted as the police force of the Rancho Cordova area with this being said, members from the sheriff's department will be permitted to apply for Rancho Cordova Police Department which will have its own Chief, command, and patrol team. You can apply for The Rancho Cordova Police Department (by clicking here for the application) We will work hand in hand with the police force when they are deployed. For more information contact the Chief of Rancho Cordova Police Department

Transparency

To maintain the public trust, law enforcement must be transparent and obvious to those seeking to expand their knowledge. We understand and acknowledge the desire of the general public and the constituents we serve, to know how law enforcement agencies operate. To educate and disseminate information efficiently, the Sacramento Sheriff’s Office consolidated the majority of files into a single location.
