The SAC Pre-Professional Careers Advisory Committee serves to advise and counsel students who are pursuing careers in the Health Careers. We provide information and guidance on prerequsite courses and the application process for the various Professional and Allied Health programs, including Medicine, Dentistry, Physician Assistant, Pharmacy, Nursing and other Allied Health careers. We also serve as a source of letters of reference and evaluation for students who are applying to the various programs. Our continued association with the Texas Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (TAAHP) and Texas Medical and Dental School Application Service (TMDSAS) allows us to communicate updates and changes to the prerequisites and application procedures to both students and Science Faculty. The committee was formed in 1993 and is composed of Faculty members in the Natural Sciences Division (Biology and Chemistry).
