Jeremy Lynn Motley (he/she/they pronouns) started at San Antonio College as an Instructor of Chemistry in January of 2018. While chemistry is their current focus, they considers themselves to be an educator first and foremost. They have Bachelor degrees from Hardin-Simmons University (double major in Education and Theater) and Midwestern State University (Chemistry) as well as a Masters from the University of Oklahoma (Analytical Chemistry) and is considered ABD on their PhD from the University of Oklahoma (Chemistry). Mx. Motley has served as an Instructor at the University of Oklahoma, Midwestern State University, and most recently Vernon College. While at MSU, they were active in various inter- and multi-disciplinary activities such as P.R.I.D.E., Safe Zone training, Moffet Madness, and as a consultant and guest lecturer in Science and Theater. They recently moved to San Antonio with their partner Alex and spends most of their free time baking, gaming (board and video), and trying to fit in pub trivia, bowling, and knitting when they can. They recently adopted Tgrr, the Doggo of the Ruler of Omicron Persei Eight (a very large brindle hound mix) as a rescue. Mx. Motley has an open door policy to all students for any and all needs. Mx. Motley also consider's their office a safe zone for LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, staff, and anyone with questions.
