Dr. Lambert earned a Master’s and Ph.D. in geography at the University of Texas-Austin, and is currently teaching geography at San Antonio College and at the University of Texas-San Antonio. Previously, he worked for the U.S. Forest Service (at Cibola National Forest in New Mexico), the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Morrison Oil Company, and the National Geographic Society in Washington D.C. He was a Natural Resource and Transportation Planner with the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG), where he worked on NAFTA-related projects between agencies in Texas and Mexico. He has traveled extensively, and has conducted field research in Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Central Asia.
