Dr. David Wood is a Professor of Astronomy. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Physics/Math from Trinity University in 1993 and his PhD in Planetary Sciences/Geosciences from the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at the University of Arizona in August 2000. His scientific interests are impact cratering, planetary geology, astrobiology, the space elevator concept, and future human colonization of the Solar System. Dr. Wood has taught at San Antonio College since 2003, and he occasionally serves as a guest presenter at the Scobee Planetarium.
