{ Personal Pursuits }

At Purdue, I am passionate about serving my community, something I strive toward as president of Purdue's Muslim Student Association (MSA) and co-founder of Purdue's chapter of the national nonprofit, GirlsWhoCode.

In my free time, I enjoy creative pursuits such as painting and baking. I also love reading, writing, and photography.

I have been fortunate to travel to many countries, including Bangladesh, India, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Japan, Italy, England, and Turkey. I have also been to some beautiful places in the United States. Here are some pictures I've taken on a few of these trips!

Yosemite National Park, United States

Sylhet & Chittagong, Bangladesh

Tokyo & Sendai, Japan

Big Sur California, United States

I have served on the student editorial board of the Journal of Purdue Undergraduate Research, and I have worked as a Staff Reporter for Purdue's campus newspaper, The Exponent. Here is a link to a news article I wrote:

Additional articles I wrote were published in the print editions of the newspaper.

I am interested in science journalism and effective communication that influences the intersection of technological advancements and public policy. This is an area I hope to continue pursuing in the future as well.
