ABOUT PERSONALITIES & LORE
Personalities of foals are encouraged but optional
Personalities of established horses should not be changed abruptly (incorporate it into your story)
Sable Ranch horses come with a full backstory when they're sold as adults. I prefer that their existing lore remain, which includes personalities & quirks. Quirks do change over time, and with the switching of owners, but the core personality tends to stay the same unless tragedy strikes. Please keep this in mind when considering a Sable Ranch horse!

HOP TO IT "Tulip" is a striking bay orchid colt out of King Raven & Merry Maid. A leggy colt with a lot of courage and energy, would make an excellent Speed Cross prospect. A quick learner who loves jumping, he'll need a creative trainer to keep him from getting bored and changing the lesson plan for the day! Will do anything for oat cakes and strawberries.

PINK DAHLIA
PINK DAHLIA "Dahlia" packs quite the punch. A delightfully delicate looking filly with a soft, quiet personality. A very sensitive horse with a high capacity for emotion, it's quite easy to hurt her feelings. Trainers should keep this in mind when setting up new challenges for her. Would definitely benefit from a companion animal, like her mother, but seems to handle separation much better than Victoria. Prefers gentle encouragement, especially in an intense situation. Doesn't know what to do with her feet when nervous & will dance in place and dig.

ASTEROID
ASTEROID "Aster" is the troublemaker of the spring foals. An enthusiastically curious foal with no sense of where his limits lay, he'll trip over the very plank he just investigated, or step in the bucket, or any number of silly things. One day he'll be the champion who gives 110% when you ask for 20, but for now he's a walking accident. On the bright side, he'll be so accustomed to getting tangled up in things he'll have excellent handling skills and master the ability to 'stand and wait for help' in no time! His favorite game is keep-away with any bucket. It started with small buckets he could see over, but he'll fully cover his own dumb head with a big bucket for the game!

ALSTROEMERIA
ALSTROEMERIA "Alo" learned from the best when it comes to personal space. Your bubble is her bubble. Where your feet go, her feet go. She'll happily follow you to the ends of the earth if you give her butt scratches or scratch that spot just behind the ears. She's not such a fan of treats and doesn't care for praise, but a good scratch will make her your absolute best friend. She hates the color blue, anything blue will be a challenge "will Alo spook or will she just eye the thing?"

SAFFRON FINCH
SAFFRON FINCH "Finch" is as bad as her mother about rolling and as eager to play as her father. In fact, Finch's the newest prankster on the property. She's already learned how to open the gates that she can reach, she can open some doors and will untie other horses and lead them around while she can! She's got s a s s. When she's loose try not to chase her, she thinks it's a glorious game and will kick her heels because it's so fun! As far as training goes positive and gentle encouragement is best, she's got a big heart and is super sensitive, even the smallest mistake can be a big set back for her and if her handler reacts negatively it'll be even worse. A handler that's very emotionally stable and self aware would be best. She'll give you everything she has, and more, you just have to be a cheerleader the whole time.

SNAPDRAGON
SNAPDRAGON is a bold, charismatic filly with a lot of curiosity. She's a quick thinker, a quick learner and always getting up to trouble. She takes more after her mother with a gentle mentality around people but her drive to always do something can result in her being a bit pushy and bullheaded, like her sire. There isn't an aggressive bone in her body (thank god) but its hard to tell whether she knows she's a big girl when she crowds your space, or she's genuinely a doofus that doesn't realize she just trampled your toes. Even as a baby she channels her inner dragon at everything. She seems to like the sound of her own voice.
