PERFORMING ensembles

The Sabercat Vanguard is one of the premier performing ensembles at Saguaro High School, bringing energy, spirit, and school pride to every performance. The band performs at all Varsity Football games, both home and away, and participates in parades, community events, and special appearances throughout the year, including school functions, corporate luncheons, and local business openings.

Within the Saguaro community, the Sabercat Vanguard plays an important role in creating school spirit through performances at Freshman Night, Pep Rallies, and other campus events. Marching Band provides students with an exciting and fast-paced performance experience, with many students performing more during their first two months of high school band than they had in all their previous years combined.

Beyond the performances, the Sabercat Vanguard helps students build leadership, teamwork, confidence, and lasting friendships while representing Saguaro with pride and excellence

Throughout the year, students refine their jazz performance skills while preparing for several featured performances, including area festivals, concerts, guest perfortmances, and the highly anticipated Jazzfest event.

Jazzfest serves as both a showcase of our students’ talent and an important annual fundraiser supporting the entire Saguaro Band program. 

The event also provides Jazz Band students with the exciting opportunity to perform in a fun, club-style atmosphere that highlights the energy and artistry of jazz music.
